What are reserve materials?
Reserves are any items (books, articles, magazines, DVDs, etc.) that instructors have asked the library to make available for students to share. Most reserve items can only be used in the library for two hours at a time. Reserve materials may be photocopied in the library for five cents per page.
How do I access reserve materials?
Reserve materials are kept behind the circulation desk. To use them, go to the desk and ask the library staff for what you need. We will need to know your class name and number (for example, English 111) as well as the title of the item (for example, Rules for Writers).
Do reserve materials have to be checked out with my library card?
Yes. Even though most reserves are used in the library only, we must check them out to you.
Are all textbooks on reserve?
No. However, the library does have many course textbooks available and we strive to make texts available to students.
The following items are on reserve in the library for the class Philosophical Issues. They are kept behind the Circulation Desk and can be checked out for 2 hours use in the library; they cannot be taken out of the library. Please keep in mind that reserves can change from one semester to another.
