Information Technology Subject Guide

Information technology employers often require certification in one or more areas. Below is a small sample of the information technology certification preparation guides available to you through Durham Tech's library.

Finding certification study guide e-books at Durham Tech

While the library has only a few test prep books, you can find many ebooks by searching our online collections.

1. Type a search phrase, such as CompTIA, or Java certification, in the search box above.
2. If you have too many irrelevant search results, here are a couple of tips to focus your search.
   1. Look at the left column: PUBLICATION DATE will allow you to limit your results to the most recently-published titles.
   2. Further down the left column is SUBJECT TERMS. The five most common subject terms are listed. Beneath those you will see "More..." Click on "More..." to select subjects that are related to your desired search results. When you are done, click the Apply button at the top.
3. If you want to find results beyond just e-books, choose additional formats from the filters on the left side of the screen (or there's a left-side drop-down menu on handheld devices).
