🔄 Collection Maintenance:

In order to maintain a healthy and functional library collection, the Durham Tech Library regularly goes through a process called "weeding" or "deselection," where materials in the collection are assessed for continued relevance and benefit to the overall collection.

In cases where condition or currency is an issue, some items may be recycled. Other items may be donated to local nonprofits, put in local Little Free Libraries, or offered for free to the campus community (as in accordance with 1H SBCCC 400.2 Surplus and Irreparable Books and Book-Like Media)
