American literature is a very broad subject area. Books in this subject can be found mainly in the PS section of the shelves; however, they may also be found in other parts of the library collection: B (Philosphy), E (U.S. History) F 1 - F 975 (U.S. Local History), etc. Your best bet is to search in the library catalog (see "Online Catalog Search," above) on a word or words in the title of a book you want to find, or on an author's name.
