The Emergency Medical Science curriculum is designed to prepare graduates to enter the workforce as paramedics. Additionally, the program can provide an Associate Degree for individuals desiring an opportunity for career enhancement.
Ferguson’s Career Guidance Center provides job and industry profiles, job hunting and workplace skills, and career exploration and industry resources. Videos present career information on specific jobs, industries, and skills. Sample résumés and cover letters are also included.

Students may choose one of two available concentrations: health management or science (pre-med). Program graduates may pursue careers as paramedics, educators, physicians, physician assistants, and EMS administrators.
