Read Great Things Challenge

All done with your 2023 Read Great Things Reading Challenge? Ready to "win"? Fill out the online form [preferred] or fill out the checklist and email or turn it in to one of the Durham Tech Library locations.

• A book with an animal, vegetable, or mineral in the title

• A book in a completed series of two or more books

• A book about or featuring a game

• Genre challenge—Pick one: Historical nonfiction, microhistory, historical fiction, or alternate history

• An author’s first book

• A book in a format you don’t usually read (audio, ebook, graphic novel, etc.)

• A book to improve your mental or physical health  

• A book about an experience different than your own

• A book about teaching or learning

• A book that piques your curiosity [free space!]

• President JB Buxton’s Choice: A book about your local community and/or culture. Did you participate in a Durham Tech Reading Circle? You can count that book here, too! 

• A book recommended by a Durham Tech Library staff member or on the Library blog

Each year, winners of the Read Great Things Challenge can opt into getting a prize to celebrate their accomplishment. Normally, the prize is announced in October or November. When we're able, we like to do a snack party and book swap to celebrate. 

2023's prize was a green Durham Tech multi-charger. Awesome!
