- Getting Started with Durham Tech Student EmailAt Durham Tech you are automatically assigned an official email address after you have been accepted to the college once you have activated your account through Self-Service you will be able to log into your student email account for the first time. Your student email account is linked to your Self-Service and Canvas accounts. To access your student email account you will use your Durham Tech username and password.
WebAdvisor Resources
WebAdvisor is used by students to access information specific to progress at Durham Tech, from course registration and financial aid information to transcripts and degree audits. Self-Service will eventually replace WebAdvisor.
Self-Service
Self-Service is Durham Tech’s new advising and academic planning web application. Students can access financial aid information, view billing statements, pay tuition and access academic planning tools. Click on the link below to access Self-Service login.

- AdvisingAcademic Advisors assist students with academic success planning through course planning relative to students’ interests, placement testing and career goals.
- Excused Absence Notification FormThe Excused Absence Notification Form is available for students to complete and submit to appropriate instructors, 14 calendar days in advance of the intended absence.
- Grading SystemThe letter grading system is used to evaluate student performance in meeting stated objectives in the classroom, laboratory, shop, clinical setting or work experience.
- Satisfactory Academic Progress for Financial AidSatisfactory academic progress involves making good grades, completing courses attempted, and graduating within a reasonable time period.
